BISC Swimming Competition 2018/19 BISC hosted a wonderful Swimming competition for our first swim meet of this academic year. MCE pupils were great swimmers and were admired for their sportsmanship earning the following medals: 2 Gold 3 Sliver 13 Bronze
To kick start this half term – students of Year 10, 11 and Lower Sixth Form had a wonderful opportunity to meet face-to-face with a large range of universities from the UK. We look forward to hosting many more university and career fairs for MCE pupils in the future.
Inter-House Football Tournament 2018/19 Elgar played against Sanger in the House Football Tournament matches. In the Year 5/6 match, there was a draw (1-1). In the Year 3/4 match, Elgar won (2-1). Well done to all players who participated.
Inter-House Football Tournament 2018/19 Our Primary Football Inter-House Tournament began. There was an overwhelming victory for Lewis! Both the matches against Foster were won by Lewis. In the Year 3/4 match, the score was 3-0. In the Year 5/6 match, the score was 4-2. Well done to all participants.
Parent Teacher Consultation Day 2018/19 It was great to see so many parents at our Parent Teacher Consultation Day. We hope the feedback received from MCE’s Teachers helps you to continue to support the college and your child through the learning journey.
Sanger Dress Up Day On Wednesday 24th October, pupils supported the Sanger Charity by giving a donation to wear non- uniform. The theme was Halloween, everyone looked fantastic! A range of Halloween themed activities also took place on the day to raise additional funds for the Sanger charity. Thank you for supporting this event.
Ganache Trip 2018/19 Year 4 students had their taste buds tickled today on a trip to the Ganache chocolate factory in Maadi. Pupils created scrumptious pops and flavored chocolates. They also took part in a workshop, learning about the journey from Cocoa beans to the shops. A great time was had by all!
FUE Trip 2018/19 Year 4 have been studying the human digestive system and for greater depth for part of this topic they visited The Future University in Egypt: The children were taken on a tour to observe the facilities where they visited the Dentistry Department and explored and learned about teeth.
Sitara Trip 2018/19 Year 1 and 2 have enjoyed a wonderful experience at Sitara Theater where we watched the shows ‘The Jolly Postman’ and ‘Ali Baba and The Four Thieves’. Children behaved excellently and were a credit to Malvern College Egypt.
Egyptian Day 2018/19 The Primary School enjoyed a fabulous day of activities and performances in College on Wednesday. They celebrated ‘Egyptian Day’ with style and some fantastic costumes. All the children had a great time!
Poetry Week came to a close last Thursday with a brilliant assembly in which one pupil from every class from Years 2-6 recited a poem. There were some fantastic poems and we were very impressed by the talents of all participants.
It was a pleasure to welcome guests from Malvern College UK and Malvern College International to MCE this week. Their visit forms part of our termly Board of Management meetings and allowed them to meet with a range of pupils and teachers to gain an insight into our progress as a growing College.
Nursery Teddy Bear Picnic 2018/19 After learning all about shapes and colours, the Nursery children took part in a teddy bear picnic on Thursday 15th November. The classrooms were filled with teddy bears the children had brought from home and everyone was given the opportunity to dress up in patterned pyjamas. The children, teachers, and teddy bears all sat down outside, compared different patterns, and shared a selection of treats.
Open Day 24th November 2018/19 We were delighted to have prospective families attend an open day at the College. Alongside taking a tour in our campus, the prospective families had the chance to ask the questions that they had in mind regarding our College.
Trophy Presentation 2018/19 In our Primary Assembly, the trophies for the Football Tournament and Swim Gala were officially presented to the winning House Captains. Miss Phillips, as Head of House for Foster, handed over the Swim Gala trophy. Mr. Stewart and Mr. Watt who share the Head of House role for Lewis, gave the Football Trophy to their Captains. Well done to Foster and Lewis, let’s all wish Elgar and Sanger the best of luck in our forthcoming House events.
Inter-house swimming competition 2018/19 Sunday 18th (Primary) and Monday 19th (Secondary) saw our annual Inter-House swimming galas, held here at Malvern College Egypt. All of the staff, pupils and parents were out to show their full support, cheering as loud as they could, contributing to a fantastic atmosphere. pupils had been working incredibly hard in the build up to this event, training for a number of weeks for their individual events.
