At Malvern College Egypt, sport is very much part of our wider curriculum. We offer sporting engagement at all levels to help develop not only our pupils’ physical development, but also their sense of teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship. We believe that our pupils should learn how to conduct themselves in a sporting arena, by losing with good grace while winning with a respect for the opposition. All pupils are expected to take an interest in their own health and fitness.
Our pupils will also participate in various sporting events with other international schools in Cairo and it is our intention to offer opportunities to compete overseas. In addition, we intend to host a number of sporting competitions throughout the year. We encourage our talented athletes to commit themselves to team practices during their co-curricular activities to push themselves towards excellence.
At MCE we are lucky enough to have two outdoor swimming pools, one for the early years and one for the secondary school. The beginners pool for the early years provides a safe space for them to explore swimming for the first time. Our main swimming pool is a 25m six lane pool that is perfect for swimming lessons as well as the introduction of competitive swimming.
