On 19th November MCE under 11 boys and girls football team travelled to Maadi British International School. This was a very pleasing afternoon of football matches between two very competitive and equal schools. The boys played the first match and started with a high energy and all the boys contributed to a compelling match. They played with determination and kept on battling for one another. MCE were the first team to break the deadlock; with a well worked goal. The game continued with MCE dominating, unfortunately MCE were undone with a breakaway goal from the opposition. The score remained tied until the final whistle. We are very pleased with the boys effort and the improvement in their style of play. Well done all players. MCE U11 girls put a great effort forward in their first match of the year. With some fantastic performances and great ball control they were able to keep the MBIS attackers at bay. Unfortunately there were two late goals that slipped into the net resulting in a 2-0 loss. Lots to learn from today’s match and the players were a credit to themselves and the school.
