On Saturday 19th October Malvern College Egypt hosted their 2nd community golf day at the JW Marriott golf course. The day was well attended with 11 teams playing in a four person Texas scramble. The competition was changed slightly to encourage new golfers to play the sport, where each team could play a complete beginner in the team. This encouraged a lot more teams and players. The teams were made up of complete beginners, staff and pupils from Malvern College, staff from NCBIS, MES and AIS and parents of pupils at MCE.
The golf on show was excellent and more importantly lots of fun was had by all.
The overall results of the day are as below.
1st Place, Sean Gale, Harrison Gale (primary student at MCE) Ryan Fuller (beginner), Samir Zaki
2nd Place, Eimer Patten, Thomas Bradshaw, Dave Mate, Kevin Rossal (Beginner)
3rd Place, Phil Downey, Hajo Wohlberg, Sabine Wohlberg katharina Wohlberg
The next MCE community golf day is scheduled for the Saturday 6th June and it would be great to see more parents and pupils take part.
