Fagnoon Trip 2017/18 Year 1 and 2 had an amazing experience visiting Fagnoon Farm. Year 1 took part in a farming and pottery activity. Year 2 did woodwork and weaving. All children had the opportunity to learn how to make Baladi bread, to feed goats and to ride on a camel, horse or donkey. A great time was had by all and we returned to school with some very tired students.
Science Club 2017/18 In our Silly Science Club this term the students have had the opportunities to develop their investigative skills by making bouncy balls and slime, ramps for marbles, try making their own ice cream and lots more! In this session pictured the students are making a red cabbage indicator. By crushing the red cabbage and collecting the juice we can investigate what colour the juice will turn with acids, such as lemon juice, and bases, such as detergent. Swimming Competition 2017/18 Well done to all our swimmers who competed with such determination. MCE achieved 3rd place overall for the season in the competition out of all 11 schools competing. Our thanks to MCE coaches and our swimming team for all the hard work. Keep up great effort everyone.
Easter Holiday 2017/18 We would like to congratulate all pupils at the end of another busy term here at Malvern College Egypt. We have an exciting term ahead of us at Malvern College Egypt and we are looking forward to welcoming our pupils back on Tuesday 10th April. Malvern College Egypt will still be open for admissions from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, for uniform shop from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The College will be closed, however, on 8th & 9th April. Pre-Nursery Sports Day 2017/18 As part of our topic “Being Healthy Pre-Nursery took part in a mini sports day. We had fun crawling through the tunnel, jumping through hoops, throwing balls into baskets, travelling along the balance beam, running with cups of water and throwing hoops onto cones. The children had lots of fun and were delighted to receive their participation medals.
Sports Day 2017/18 Last week was a busy week for Sport at MCE. The Years 3 – 10 had their Sports day at the Maadi Olympic Stadium and the house scores for the day were Foster in 1st place, 2nd place Lewis, 3rd place Elgar and 4th place Sanger. Our youngest students also really enjoyed participating in a range of activities, from beanbag balancing to sprinting, and from hoop throwing to goal scoring. Summer Camp 2018 MCUK Summer Camp Update: A wonderful end to a happy time at the summer camp for the MCE Pupils. “Ravernclaw” came out victorious in the battle for the House Cup in a ‘Harry Potter’ inspired version of the Olympics. Prizes were awarded to individuals who had made significant contribution to day-to-day life at the camp. The ceremony was finished off by a wonderful musical medley of songs the pupils had been rehearsing throughout the week.
