On the 11th and 12th of February, the Banque de Caire attended MCE for our Year 9 and 12 Economics students as well as our Business students from Year 9 to 11. After attending a session in the Theatre followed by a Q&A session, there were three challenges to overcome: a ball-dribbling contest, a quiz on the morning session, and the game of “grab the money”, in which jets of air sent money of various denominations spinning and the contestants had to simultaneously grab and hold money using only one hand. Congratulations Salma, and enjoy your prize! While the facts taught in the classroom were confirmed by the bank’s lecturer, the old adage of “being in it to win it” or “nothing ventured nothing gained” was shown to be true, in a very practical way.
