On Wednesday 13th February a group of gifted secondary students performed in ‘Mary Poppins’ the Secondary School’s first ever musical production. It was a heart-warming, toe-tapping, show-stopping event that was a fantastic show case of our student’s talent. CONGRATULATIONS to the cast and teachers involved, all that hard work really paid off! 6M had the most wonderful experience with the children at the Branches of the Vine charity, yesterday. We had a great time producing some lovely craft work with the children. Everyone enjoyed the activities and came away with great big smiles on their faces
We are excited to announce that Pret-a-Portrait will visit Malvern College Egypt on 10 , 11, 12 and 13th February 2019. Pret-a-Portrait will be visiting the school again this year to take class and individual portraits of the students. This year parents have the opportunity to pre-order pictures as digital files at discounted prices and only by pre ordering now can you receive the class picture as a digital image.

Pupils at MCE had the pleasure to meet the Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Ambassador Nabila Makram at the “Egypt can” conference in Hurghada. Not only it has provided the pupils with experience, but also they had the opportunity to see 36 scientists and experts (including Dr. Farouk Elbazz) raising and discussing about topics ranging from technology and science to the development of students and their wellbeing.
It was a pleasure to welcome guests from Malvern College UK and Malvern College International to MCE this week. Their visit forms part of our termly Board of Management meetings and allowed them to meet with a range of pupils and teachers to gain an insight into our progress as a growing College.
Wellspring 2019 has been a great success. So far, the children have been busy experiencing new challenges, working collaboratively in groups and competing against each other in different teams. They are very busy and doing extremely well.
Last week we had yet another round of the MCE Inter-House Debate Competition where Lewis and Sanger pupils went head to head to debate the motion: “this House believes that social media is beneficial to society.” What a wonderful debate! The speakers did an amazing job and kept us entertained from start to finish. Congratulations to all pupils and staff who supported this wonderful event and to Lewis House for their victory. Malvern College would like to take this opportunity to bid farewell to Antony Clark, and appreciate his efforts in passing on the values and qualities of Visit here in Egypt. His visit today was delightful and he will be genuinely missed by all of our members of staff.
Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils took part in the Science Crafts workshop to celebrate British Science Week on 12th and 13th March. They pupils used robotic kits to help apply and understand theory linked to their curriculum and help them with their end of year exam and love of science.
Pupils from both Primary and Secondary had the opportunity to visit the ESMA (Egyptian Society of Mercy to Animals) dog shelter. The pupils donated a substantial amount of money that was raised over the past year in various events. The money donated will be used to supply the animals with food and medical supplies. MCE International Day was a great success, thank you to all parents, staff and students who supported this wonderful day. The food was fantastic, the entertainment was outstanding and the activities for children were very much enjoyed. It was a lovely celebration of our community.
The Year 2 pupils had an amazing trip to the Fagnoon Farm. With painting wall hangings, planting and farming, decorating photo frames, animal rides and seeing baby goats made a very busy and exciting time was had by all.
