backpack initiative 2018/19 We have had the first child within Early Years to bring in a filled backpack for our backpack initiative. The backpack contained all of the items which we have requested, 2 hygiene items, 2 pieces of stationery, 2 toys and a WOW item. The backpack was also clearly labelled for a girl between 4 and 7 years of age. Thank you to all the families who have provided backpacks so far. Please keep them coming into school! Darb1718 trip 2018/19 The Year 5 children visited Darb 1718 to experience a creative day as part of their introduction to the topic of Ancient Greeks. The children learned about the process of how clay is used to create pottery; they made their own bowls, decorated plates and even experienced time on a potter’s wheel.

Ganache Trip 2018/19 Year 4 students had their taste buds tickled today on a trip to the Ganache chocolate factory in Maadi. Pupils created scrumptious pops and flavored chocolates. They also took part in a workshop, learning about the journey from Cocoa beans to the shops. A great time was had by all!
FUE Trip 2018/19 Year 4 have been studying the human digestive system and for greater depth for part of this topic they visited The Future University in Egypt: The children were taken on a tour to observe the facilities where they visited the Dentistry Department and explored and learned about teeth.
Sitara Trip 2018/19 Year 1 and 2 have enjoyed a wonderful experience at Sitara Theater where we watched the shows ‘The Jolly Postman’ and ‘Ali Baba and The Four Thieves’. Children behaved excellently and were a credit to Malvern College Egypt.
