Malvern College Egypt

In their final two years of education at Malvern College Egypt pupils will have a range of options available to study pre-university courses. Pupils studying A levels will pursue an Academic Enrichment Programme enabling them to choose from a wide range of subjects in addition to their core AS and A2 subjects. The Enrichment Programme includes languages, Psychology (to AS) and the Extended Project Qualification as well as opportunities to take part in sporting, creative and service-based co-curricular activities.

The College has also submitted an application to the International Baccalaureate Organisation in order to become a candidate school with the intention of offering the IB Diploma Programme to our pupils from August 2018. Pupils studying the IBDP would study a range of 6 subject courses alongside the core Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay programmes. Pupils would also be able to enjoy and embrace the traditions and community-based environment provided by a British public school, including commitment to team sports and opportunities provided by activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Whichever educational course pupils choose to pursue, they will be given the opportunity to take on responsibility and leadership roles and to choose the areas of school life to which they feel most able to contribute and from which they will most benefit.

Pupils will be carefully supported by subject teachers and, critically, their academic and pastoral tutor. Our pupils are able to choose their tutor from amongst the teaching staff early in the academic year, giving them an ideal opportunity to be tutored by a member of staff with whom they get on well and who will often specialise in an area that a pupil wishes to pursue after leaving Malvern College Egypt.
