Pre-Nursery and Nursery Celebration Assembly The Pre-Nursery and Nursery children gathered in our Early Years Shared Area yesterday morning to celebrate their successes throughout this year. Each children has a set of wonderful attributes which we want to celebrate. The children sang sweetly with Miss Leen leading them on the piano and each child came up to receive their own certificate. Mrs Dibb-Holland awarded the certificates on behalf of all the teachers, shaking the children’s hands and offering them individual congratulations.

ESMA Animal Shelter

ESMA Animal Shelter On Thursday 21st June, we took a small group of students from Foster House to our house charity ESMA – The Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals. During this trip we had an opportunity to see the amazing work the charity is doing as well as hand over 33,000 EGP that has been raised this year through International Day and other school events (such as the Primary spelling competition and the House dress-up day, plus the kind donation of Mrs Romani’s Spanish CCA fees). Primary House Handwriting Competition

Primary House Handwriting Competition In Primary we have asked students to choose and copy out their favourite Malvern qualities in their best handwriting, and a handwriting champion has been chosen from each year group. It was a very difficult decision for Mr Kittermaster! Congratulations to Hania 1L, Lilia 2L, Jana 3M, Maya 4A, Sedra 5M and Husna 6A who were awarded the champion title for their year group! Overall, there were 3 champions from Foster, so they have won this House competition.

Swimming Success

Swimming Success It has been a very successful year for swimming here at Malvern College Egypt, with a number of our students competing and winning both individually and as part of the team for the schools league. We as a school, finished in a respectable third place overall in the league, with seven schools competing. One particular example is Yassin who took part in the recent swim meet that was held at Cairo American College (CAC), he competed in over seven races. Ramadan evening football tournament

Ramadan evening football tournament We are proud of a group of MCE Primary School pupils who, organised by Youssef Dia, entered a Ramadan evening football tournament. The boys played a series of games and made their way to the finals which was held at the Police Club, Nasr City last Sunday. We are ecstatic to observe that the boys are proud to wear their College uniform and even more ecstatic to say they won! Well done to all who participated.

Year 6 L Assembly 6L presented to the Primary School, during our Tuesday Assembly, the importance of resilience and perseverance. They used Mo Salah as an example of how hard work pays dividends. They also talked of their own successes by developing a determination to do better.

Sanger Charity A.P.E

Sanger Charity A.P.E On 7th June, Susana Romani (the FoMCE charity representative) and Miss Belcher visited the Sanger Charity A.P.E. to deliver Ramadan boxes. These were given to Muslim families suffering from anaemia that are supported by A.P.E. They also took a donation of 30,000 LE which has been raised through International Day, Sanger Dress Up Day and the Primary House Spelling competition. This fund will be used to make improvements to the playground used by children receiving education classes at A.P.E.

Primary Houses Elections

Primary Houses Elections In Primary this week, children were divided into their House groups in order to hear speeches from Year 6 pupils who stood as candidates to be House Captain. Every child in Primary had the chance to vote after hearing the speeches. This was true democracy in action at Malvern College Egypt! Well done to everyone who participated, the quality of speeches was very impressive. Congratulations to all the successful candidates and good luck in your new roles.
