Swimming Success

Swimming Success It has been a very successful year for swimming here at Malvern College Egypt, with a number of our students competing and winning both individually and as part of the team for the schools league. We as a school, finished in a respectable third place overall in the league, with seven schools competing. Ramadan evening football tournament

Ramadan evening football tournament We are proud of a group of MCE Primary School pupils who, organised by Youssef Dia, entered a Ramadan evening football tournament. The boys played a series of games and made their way to the finals which was held at the Police Club, Nasr City last Sunday. We are ecstatic to observe that the boys are proud to wear their College uniform and even more ecstatic to say they won! Well done to all who participated.

Year 6 L Assembly

Year 6 L Assembly 6L presented to the Primary School, during our Tuesday Assembly, the importance of resilience and perseverance. They used Mo Salah as an example of how hard work pays dividends. They also talked of their own successes by developing a determination to do better.

Sanger Charity A.P.E

Sanger Charity A.P.E On 7th June, Susana Romani (the FoMCE charity representative) and Miss Belcher visited the Sanger Charity A.P.E. to deliver Ramadan boxes. These were given to Muslim families suffering from anaemia that are supported by A.P.E. They also took a donation of 30,000 LE which has been raised through International Day, Sanger Dress Up Day and the Primary House Spelling competition. This fund will be used to make improvements to the playground used by children receiving education classes at A.P.E.

Reception A Assembly Well done to RA for their assembly this week. The children performed the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and worked really hard to learn their lines and remember their cues. It was a pleasure to see all their hard work pay off and to see them having fun whilst performing. Their progression and growth in confidence has really made me proud!

Ramadan Bags

Ramadan Bags On 4th June, Mrs Pauline Adel (one of our FoMCE representatives) and her children, along with Miss Belcher visited the Orman charitable organisation to deliver Ramadan bags. These bags were bought using the money raised by the FoMCE at the Christmas Bazaar. The foods collected in school will be delivered to Muslim families suffering from anaemia who are supported by APE, our Sanger House charity as well as to the Lewis House charity, FACE orphanage.

Reception and Year 1 Assembly Yesterday Reception M performed their class assembly in the theatre. It was the first time for many of them to speak on the stage and they did a fantastic job. In class they had been thinking about all of their own special talents and shared these with their families and friends. They acted out a story helping everyone to remember ‘it’s good to me!
