Mrs Dibb-Holland would like to convey a heartfelt and sincere THANK YOU to every family within MCE who donated a backpack for our initiative this year. The children this year who benefitted from your generosity were from Mostafa Kamel School. The children lined up to receive their backpacks and they were so excited as our children handed them their gifts. The faces of the littlest children through to the bigger ones were so happy they all lit up with a huge smile as they opened each one to see the wonderful things you had put inside. I am so proud […]
We were lucky enough to receive a visit from Santa Claus. The children were so excited and happy to see him. Some children had letters to give to him, other children gave him their Christmas lists as well. We sang him songs and recited poems. Santa gave all of the children within Early Years and year 1 a gift. We wish you all happy holidays!
On Monday, 17th December, Secondary students and Year 6 performed in a wonderful Winter concert to celebrate the end of term. To open the show our dynamic Year 6 choir sang three songs including their catchy ‘I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas’, and the Year 7&8 choir closed the show with an impressive Christmas jazz medley in 2-part harmony. Other highlights included our school band, an Elvis tribute, many expressive piano solos and a sneak preview of our forthcoming Secondary musical ‘Mary Poppins’, which will take place in our theatre in February. Congratulations to all students involved!
Today two MCE parents, Mrs Lamees Daya and Mrs Susana Romani visited the Sanger charity to deliver the money raised on the Sanger Charity Dress Up Day. The amount of 15,000 EGP will be used to develop the play areas for children who attend education classes there.
Pupils at MCE had the pleasure to meet the Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Ambassador Nabila Makram at the “Egypt can” conference in Hurghada. Not only it has provided the pupils with experience, but also they had the opportunity to see 36 scientists and experts (including Dr. Farouk Elbazz) raising and discussing about topics ranging from technology and science to the development of students and their wellbeing.
