Bake Sale What a bake sale! Inter-House rivalry, effort and House spirit was on show at the bake sale held by our four Houses on Thursday 19th October. It was an incredible sight to see: cinnamon rolls to cupcakes to donuts to personalised house-glazed cakes to the students behind the desks singing their hearts out for their House. Thank you to all of the students who took part – you all did your Houses proud. A tremendous 11,898.50 LE was raised.
Dental Awareness Session Open wide!!! Our Year 4s were very lucky to have two dentists come to MCE today to educate them on the subject of Healthy Teeth. They learned about the side effects of eating unhealthily and how to treat their teeth with care, so that they would remain pristine white for a long time to come.
Head Master’s Coffee Morning It was great to see so many of you at the two Headmaster’s coffee mornings this week. It gave people the chance to socialise with other parents and to talk with the senior staff at the College.
GAP STUDENTS Academic Year 2016/2017 I was fortunate to spend nine months as the first Gap Year student, alongside George Eldridge, at Malvern College Egypt. Having lived in Malvern my entire life and attended Malvern College for five years I had a really firm idea as to what Malvern College Egypt should look like: to this effect I was pleased to be able to help out the PR and Marketing department. While the nine months went far too quickly I felt I was able to bring back some of the skills I learnt to the UK. For example, I have […]
Gap Students from the UK! Academic Year 2017/2018 I am really looking forward to spending my time at Malvern College Egypt and making use of all the fantastic opportunities available. I await the opportunity to work with the PR and Marketing department within the school, however I am also a keen musician who plays the guitar, violin and sings. In addition, I have a great love of sports, my favourites of which are tennis and football. I am taking a Gap Year after completing my education at Malvern College as Head of House of School House. My goal upon completing my gap year is to […]
First Day of School Academic Year 2017/2018 We are back! The summer holiday has come to an end and the pupils are quickly settling back into school life. We all hope that everyone has had a relaxing summer break and are very pleased to welcome the new pupils to Malvern College Egypt this academic year. We hope they love their time here, and throw themselves at every opportunity the school has to offer. Good luck to everyone in the Autumn term.
Reception A Assembly Well done to RA for their assembly this week. The children performed the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and worked really hard to learn their lines and remember their cues. It was a pleasure to see all their hard work pay off and to see them having fun whilst performing. Their progression and growth in confidence has really made me proud!
Ramadan Bags On 4th June, Mrs Pauline Adel (one of our FoMCE representatives) and her children, along with Miss Belcher visited the Orman charitable organisation to deliver Ramadan bags. These bags were bought using the money raised by the FoMCE at the Christmas Bazaar. The foods collected in school will be delivered to Muslim families suffering from anaemia who are supported by APE, our Sanger House charity as well as to the Lewis House charity, FACE orphanage.
Year 1 A Assembly Year 1 A preformed an inspired dance about friendship. The Children also read a poem about reading . The assembly was a part of our PSHE curriculum to reinforce the importance of positive relationships.
Reception and Year 1 Assembly Yesterday Reception M performed their class assembly in the theatre. It was the first time for many of them to speak on the stage and they did a fantastic job. In class they had been thinking about all of their own special talents and shared these with their families and friends. They acted out a story helping everyone to remember ‘it’s good to me!
