Everyone was delighted by the progress that has been made at the College since their last visit, including the opening of our new Theatre. We are so fortunate to have this special relationship with Malvern College UK to be able to work in partnership to continue to develop MCE. GAP STUDENTS Academic Year 2017/2018 I am thrilled to have been given this opportunity here at Malvern College Egypt, working in Cairo was not something I had ever considered doing for my gap year but when the opportunity arose, it grabbed my interest quickly. I hope to get involved in many different aspects of College life including helping out in the PE department as well as assisting during a range of academic lessons. Rugby is something that I am very passionate about, representing my school nationally in the 1stXV team playing in the position of Flanker. As someone who took […]

Duncan, his wife Dessy and their three daughters will be thoroughly missed by the whole MCE community. From all of us here at Malvern College Egypt, thank you Mr. Grice for all your hard work and good luck for the […]

Art Exhibition 2017/18 We have seen a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication from our students this year and this is evident in the many diverse and unique pieces of artwork on display in the Art Exhibition this year. The Art Department is flourishing, helped along by the efforts of our first Y10 GCSE Art Class who presented an exciting and inspirational range of final artworks at the exhibition. Well done to all of our students who have worked so hard and made such an effort to contribute to the Art Exhibition 2018, and take time to think about […]
Fagnoon Trip 2017/18 Year 1 and 2 had an amazing experience visiting Fagnoon Farm. Year 1 took part in a farming and pottery activity. Year 2 did woodwork and weaving. All children had the opportunity to learn how to make Baladi bread, to feed goats and to ride on a camel, horse or donkey. A great time was had by all and we returned to school with some very tired students.
Kidzania Trip 2017/18 The Nursery children enjoyed the most amazing day at Kidzania on Thursday 3rd May. A very big thank you to the parents who volunteered to join us for the day. Educational and fun trips such as this are an excellent opportunity for our children to build so many important life skills.
Science Club 2017/18 In our Silly Science Club this term the students have had the opportunities to develop their investigative skills by making bouncy balls and slime, ramps for marbles, try making their own ice cream and lots more! In this session pictured the students are making a red cabbage indicator. By crushing the red cabbage and collecting the juice we can investigate what colour the juice will turn with acids, such as lemon juice, and bases, such as detergent. Using the juice we can dye paper purple and then use the acids and bases as ‘paints’ to create ‘scientific’ […]
Year 5 trip to Wellspring 2017/18 Year 5 had a very successful trip to the Wellspring Overnight Camp in Wadi El Beit last week. High ropes, Zip wires and other team building activities were enjoyed by all. Teachers were so proud to see so many of our students overcoming their initial fears and taking a risk. The three days of the camp were nonstop and, needless to say, the buses were much quieter on the journey home!
