The MCE Quiz Night was such a wonderful community evening with friend, staff and parents coming to join us. Seven categories of challenging questions got everyone digging deep for the answers. Our Primary and Secondary Student Leadership Inauguration Ceremonies last week were great spectacles for all audience members. The Head Girls and Head Boys were announced, along with our Prefects and House Captains. We have every confidence that they will experience a successful year in their new positions of responsibility. Thank you very much to our musical performers, and to all of the parents who joined us for this celebration.
Mmm! Year 4 students enjoyed a mouth-watering visit to the Chocolate Ganache Français factory this week. They got to learn about where cocoa beans come from and all the processes that go into making chocolate. They even were lucky enough to be able to flavour their own chocolate and sample the fruits of their labour. What a fun trip before the Half-term break!
In Science this term we are learning about teeth. Year 4 had the pleasure of visiting the Future University in Egypt Dentistry department, to see all the dentists busy at work. The children got to experience what its like to be a dentist, handle the equipment, look at X-rays, give an examination, and say good bye to cavities. It was an exciting and educational trip for all.
Santa Visit Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way! Santa is here! Malvern pupils were very lucky to have a surprise visit from Santa himself. Our nursery pupils were able to meet the magical man, and each received a small present from him, whilst enjoying the opportunity to relax and spend time with the well-loved figure who was talked about frequently after his stopover. It gave our nursery the chance to explore their imagination of Santa, and really bring the magic of Christmas to life.
