Summer Camp 2018 MCUK Summer Camp Update: A wonderful end to a happy time at the summer camp for the MCE Pupils. “Ravernclaw” came out victorious in the battle for the House Cup in a ‘Harry Potter’ inspired version of the Olympics. Prizes were awarded to individuals who had made significant contribution to day-to-day life at the camp. The ceremony was finished off by a wonderful musical medley of songs the pupils had been rehearsing throughout the week.
Summer Camp 2018 A day full of sport today! Our MCE children got the opportunity to swim and play hockey. Mr. Bailey, MCE Assistant Head of Primary, also visited them at the summer school and they were excited to share their stories with him as well as their newly learnt hockey skills.
Summer Camp 2018 Today the children visited the city of Oxford where they were given a guided tour of New College in Oxford University. They then visited the original set used in the Harry Potter films in the Warner Bros. studios in London. They learned about the special effects behind the scenes and even took a ride of the Hogwarts Express!

Summer Camp 2018 Still enjoying the lovely weather here in Malvern. All are having a lot of fun at the Commandery and Worcester Cathedral. The children enjoyed exploring the rooms in the Tudor house and learning about what school would have been like in the time of William Shakespeare.
On Sunday this week, Year 3 went to Wadi Degla Protectorate to work with the Wadi Degla Environmental Science Centre on a variety activities about rocks and soils. This was a fantastic practical day, which helped to reinforce our Science work in school. The children really enjoyed this educational visit; it was valuable to their learning but also lots of fun!
As part of our “People Who Help Us” topic in the Early Years, students enjoyed a visit from the Cairo Traffic Police. They had a talk on road safety but the highlight of the day for the children had to be when they were let loose to drive mini cars on our blue basketball court which had been transformed into a series of roads, pathways and junctions. The day provided the children with some very valuable life skills on how to stay safe, both as passengers and pedestrians, and their enthusiasm was clear to see.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them. #RemembranceDay #WeWillRememberThem
