GAP STUDENTS Academic Year 2017/2018 I am thrilled to have been given this opportunity here at Malvern College Egypt, working in Cairo was not something I had ever considered doing for my gap year but when the opportunity arose, it grabbed my interest quickly. I hope to get involved in many different aspects of College life including helping out in the PE department as well as assisting during a range of academic lessons. Rugby is something that I am very passionate about, representing my school nationally in the 1stXV team playing in the position of Flanker. As someone who took […]

Malvern’s Got Talent What a fabulous assembly to end the term with our first Malvern’s Got Talent competition. Thank you to Petras Verseckas for organizing and hosting this event. Congratulations to our five acts who performed to a really high level – in my eyes you were all winners today and you will all have learned from the experience. You all have a great deal of talent and I do hope you continue to pursue these in the future. The judges decided on Josephine in Year 6 as our first winner – well done Josephine.
Wow! The consumes were amazing! To celebrate Halloween here at Malvern we decided to invite the primary and early years’ pupils to wear the scariest costume possible – and they were scary… The pupils put so much effort into their costumes it was amazing, from witches to vampires to ghosts to skeletons we had it all, and it was so much fun even the teachers got involved!
We were fortunate to benefit from a visit from the Lego store in Cairo. The Lego store team arrived in school at 8am and set up Duplo and Lego workstations. Each child from Pre-Nursery all the way up to Year 5 was able to enjoy creating using these versatile blocks. The Lego store team were very generous and visited the school over two days to ensure that all of our children could have time to experience the Duplo and Lego available. These photographs tell their own story, each and every child here had the most enriching educational experience. The Duplo […]
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way! Santa is here! Malvern pupils were very lucky to have a surprise visit from Santa himself. Our nursery pupils were able to meet the magical man, and each received a small present from him, whilst enjoying the opportunity to relax and spend time with the well-loved figure who was talked about frequently after his stopover. It gave our nursery the chance to explore their imagination of Santa, and really bring the magic of Christmas to life.
Cinderella Ballet Show Tuesday 13th June 2017 In June, 12 students from Year 1, 3 and 6 took performed in the ballet Cinderella with professional dancers from the Cairo Opera Ballet Company. Reception and Years 1 to 3 all came together to watch the spectacular performance together with teachers, parents, relatives and friends of Malvern. The brightly coloured costumes looked stunning against the black backdrop and students put on an impressive ballet show. It was fantastic to see the students all come together after two terms of rehearsals as part of the Co-Curricular activities programme. Ballet is a form of […]
